Brief

Touring LD Shaun Murphy asked me along as lighting tech as well as assisting him with the MA Network for this run of shows. I had recently spent time with Shaun helping him convert his grand knowledge of Chamsys MagicQ system into the GrandMA2 range of consoles from MA Lighting so it was a perfect match for me to join him on this tour.

MA Network

With a floor package of Ayrton Magic Blades, TMB Solaris Flares and Clay Paky Sharpy Wash 330’s we also took a number of MA Lighting GrandMA2 consoles and GrandMA2 NPU to handle the number of pixels we had as well as whatever we were going to be thrown as part of the house rigs at each venue.

Network/Monitoring

We had one console at the side of the stage opposite to monitor world so that I could keep an eye on system functions as well as handle any resets etc required in the rig leaving Shaun to focus on running the show as it was not a timecode show.
